What is the typical Xyzal dosage?

A Xyzal 5mg breakable (scored) tablet once daily in the evening is the dosage for adults and children from 12 to 64 years of age. A 1/2 tablet (2.5 mg) once daily in the evening may be appropriate for less severe symptoms. Children’s Xyzal is also available in an oral solution for children 2 to 11 years old.

How to pronounce Xyzal?

Xyzal might look like a difficult word to pronounce but in reality, it is not. When pronouncing Xyzal, break the word into two syllables (zi · zol) with emphasis on the first syllable.

How quickly does XYZAL start working?

XYZAL starts working one hour after taking the medication.

What sizes of XYZAL are available?

XYZAL tablets are available in 10 count, 35 count, 55 count, 80 count and 110 — (110 count is only available at club stores). Also, Children’s XYZAL is available in a 5 oz. liquid solution.

What type of allergy symptoms does XYZAL relieve?

XYZAL provides 24-hour relief of sneezing; runny nose; itchy, watery eyes; and itchy nose or throat.

Does Xyzal cause drowsiness? Will Xyzal make me drowsy?

Yes, drowsiness may occur. In clinical studies where Xyzal was administered at night, 6% of those who took Xyzal experienced drowsiness. Xyzal should be taken at night, and users should be careful if driving a motor vehicle or operating machinery.

Does XYZAL relieve indoor and outdoor allergy symptoms?

Yes. XYZAL temporarily relieves allergy symptoms, which can be caused by an allergic response to indoor or outdoor allergens. Symptoms include sneezing; runny nose; itchy, watery eyes; and itchy nose or throat.

How long does XYZAL alleviate allergy symptoms for sufferers?

Is it safe to mix Xyzal and alcohol?

No. Mixing alcohol with Xyzal can increase the nervous system effects of the drug. These side effects include dizziness, drowsiness, and increased difficulty concentrating. And remember, alcohol, sedatives and tranquilizers may increase drowsiness too.

Why should I take XYZAL at night?

Use as directed and take XYZAL at night to relieve allergy symptoms while you sleep, you get a better night’s sleep and wake up refreshed for a more productive day ahead.

Is XYZAL safe to use every day?

Yes. XYZAL is safe to use in the evening every day. Use only as directed and please read the product label for complete dosing instructions and warnings.

Is XYZAL safe to take with my other allergy medications?

As with any medicine, you should ask your doctor or healthcare provider about using other allergy medications in conjunction with XYZAL.

How many times a day do I have to use XYZAL?
