Our Efforts in Sustainability
Ingredients
Our XYZAL adult and childrens' products are manufactured in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) compliant facility and every ingredient is tested to ensure the highest quality is being used. Each formulation batch is also tested to ensure the quality meets the standards established by the FDA during the drug approval process.
Packaging
At Xyzal, we are commited to reducing our environmental footprint. We are continuously striving to improve the sustainability of our product packaging and have made progress through recent initiatives.
Environmentally-Friendly Packaging
In 2023, Xyzal removed all of the plastic windows from our cartons, making them 100% plastic free and therefore recyclable through most local recycling centers.
Sustainable Forestry Initiative®
Each of the suppliers of our packaging cartons has been certified to the Sustainable Forestry Initiative® standards as a company that sources its paper from sustainable, legal, responsible vendors. SFI Inc. is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting sustainable forest management in North America and supporting responsible procurement globally.
Manufacturing
Xyzal tablets are manufactured in Europe and Asia but are packaged in a facility in Chattanooga, TN. This site is a ZERO LANDFILL* manufacturing facility as of July 2023. 96% of the facility's waste is recycled and the remaining 4% is incinerated for energy recovery. The site uses 100% renewable energy for Scope 2 emissions from electricity through the purchase of Renewable Energy Credits.
