XYZAL provides once-daily dosing
Once-a-day PM dosing in adults and children.
- Adult recommended dose: 5 mg per day in patients 12 years of age and older. Some
patients may be adequately controlled with 2.5 mg
- Pediatric recommended dose: 2.5 mg per day for children 6 to 11 years of age. The
2.5 mg should not be exceeded because the systemic exposure with 5mg is approximately
twice that of adults. (1/2 teaspoon of oral solution. The 1.25 mg should not be
exceeded based on comparable exposure to adults receiving 5 mg.)
- Pediatric recommended dose: 1.25 mg (Oral Solution) per day for children 6 months
to 5 years of age. The 1.25 mg should not be exceeded based on comparable exposure
to adults receiving 5 mg.
